Hahaha I don't know what I'm doing.
~*~DRAMATIS PERSONAE~*~ in no particular order and probably not all appearing
WYATT CAIN, a TIN MAN - a guide, a guard, a cynic.
A non-literal TRAIL of BREAD-CRUMBS - they are YELLOW but they are not BRICKS
GLITCH, a HEADCASE - he is UNSURE what is going on, and DOES NOT like it.
AZKADELLIA, a PRINCESS - a smol precocious CHILD.
Holographic PROJECTIONS to facilitate EXPOSITION
A HOPELESS AMOUNT OFSPIDERS INFILTRATIONS (there are no spiders)
A bird thing with an OWL head, HAWK body, and PEACOCK tailno I have no reason for this
~*~LOCATIONS~*~ this is also mostly bullshit. maybe.
When in Ambrose's head be sure to visit the fabulous OUTER ZONE! It looks like the verdant forests outside of Vancouver but is dotted with fantastic art nouveau-inspired royal palaces. Also some hives of scum and villainy. Beware monkey bats.
Okay it's like his room in liminal space? But there's a big tank with half a brain in it in the kitchenette.
Ambrus' airship meets the sitting room of Thistle House meets Violet's tower meets Ambrosius' atrium. Mind the water feature.

Date: 2018-04-25 12:41 pm (UTC)I'm wondering what's wrong
What will the devil find?
Today it seems the night has come too soon
Mesmerizing dreams
A vision of the hells again
Now my life is better lived insane
With buttercups that cry and animals that talk to me
Tomorrow you will find there's no way out
You've nowhere left to turn
There's no place left to hide from him
Come tomorrow
Come tomorrow
There's never been an answer
There's always someone else to follow
And you are coming down
And you are coming down
Giving me the reason for your lies
And when you turn me inside out
Don't know what you feel or dream about
And then you take me upside down
Remember my face, my name, my town

Date: 2018-04-25 03:44 pm (UTC)LVL 1: back to the beginning, the inn he stayed in before getting poofed by the Trumps. at the check-out desk is Wyatt Cain. His snark game is strong and he Knows You.
LVL 2: erm. woodlands. monkey bats. longcoats. mental confusion. the breadcrumb trail leading to Glitch, who may or may not be doing a scarecrow impression. he'll tag along for a while and then Stuff.
LVL 3: do we need the exposition? idk. I don't even remember what I wanted the exposition to be.
LVL4-ish: the Room of Jaunts/infiltration roulette/conversations with broken people
DRAFT - Tomorrow you will find there's no way out
Date: 2018-05-03 05:32 pm (UTC)himitThere's a tornado in liminal space.
Okay it's more of a dust devil with aspirations but it looks like a stationary three meter tall grayish-white twister. There are bits of color in the form of feathers and poppy petals, along with lighting flashes in green, gold, and the occasional purple at its base. This, then, is the entrance to Ambrose's dungeon.
Standing near the twister one will feel a slight breeze, and standing directly next to it will do little more than blow one's hair back dramatically. Upon stepping into it there's a sensation of an express elevator making a rapid ascent, and one can just hear a mysterious voice whispering.
...ninety-nine, ninety-eight, ninety-seven, ninety-six...
FIRST BIT: There's never been an answer There's always someone else to follow
The Travelers are zapped out of the twister via little bolts of lightning and find themselves standing in a deserted town square. It could be coastal British Columbia for the dense forest and snowy mountains in the distance, not to mention the slight chill. It could be on the outskirts of Lyon for the architecture. It could be central India for the style of decorations: brightly-colored bunting and banners.
But there are two suns in the sky so this is the village of Yoop in Gillikin Country in the northern Outer Zone.
To one side of the square is an inn, a welcome banner across the balcony and a curl of blue smoke rising from the chimney and if that's not inviting enough the door's open. Inside one will find a lobby area with a cozy fire, a coat closet containing rain gear, a few leather armchairs, a table with a newspaper and some pamphlets with information about something called an LSREPT.
Also in the lobby is a check in/check out desk, and behind the desk is broad-shouldered man wearing an old fashioned gray fedora. He might be asleep on the job. Or not.
SECOND...BIT????
Leave the inn! Now in woods, late afternoon. A scrap of gold braiding on a twig! Walk further and find another on the ground! Etc! Countdown! Mental confusion, player's choice for manifestation, darker and deeper until light! Yoop! Not the same! Hi Glitch!
THIRD BIT:
A HOPELESS AMOUNT OF INFILTRATIONS???
FOURTH BIT:
The Final Countdown. A man and his brain in a jar.
Hmm hmm hmmmmm
